We value our history

Visitation Catholic School, established by the Dominican Sisters of San Jose in 1883, understood the importance of preparing its students for the challenges of the future.

By requiring a solid foundation in religious and moral education, they gave students the opportunity to develop a sense of faith and a sense of responsibility for others.

The Sisters of Saint Mary of Oregon (SSMO) then came to Visitation Parish in 1891 to operate the school and the VCS family has been blessed with at least one SSMO sister teaching or assisting ever since.
