Parish Tuition Assistance Program

Limited tuition grant money is available through the parish. An evaluation committee appointed by the pastor dispenses funds. All families desiring to receive tuition/grant money must apply through FACTS grant and aid assessment. Deadline for applying fore tuition assistance with FACTS through the Archdiocese of Portland is March for the following school year.

Archdiocesan Tuition Assistance Timeline

This timeline changes every year. Please contact the school office for specific deadlines.

January Begin Application Process
Mid-March (est.) Deadline for mailing paper application to FACTS (Archdiocesan grants, only).
Late-March (est.) Deadline for on-line applications with FACTS (Archdiocesan grants, only)
Early April (est.) Department of Catholic Schools will notify schools of amount of block grant
Mid-April (est.) Schools will notify Archdiocesan Department of Catholic Schools of recommended allocation of block grant
Mid-April (est.) Archdiocesan Department of Catholic Schools reviews school recommendations and finalizes awards to families
Early-May (est.) A letter is sent to all families who applied by April 1st notifying them of the results of their applications

Note:

  • Schools may continue to use FACTS even after 3/31 deadline.
  • DCS will set the guidelines for schools to use when allocating Archdiocesan funds.

    • Demonstrated financial need (FACTS application)
    • Maximum dollar amount per student and per family (To be determined)
  • Funds are dispersed directly to the school in 1 or 2 payments.
